A new venture for Depth of Field for 2009 is the organisation of photographic 'in-the-field' courses. A highly successful trip to the Lake District was organised in February of 2008 and it is intended to run this course again, hopefully two sessions, in February 2009. The base for the course is the DollyWaggon B&B in Keswick, and a selection of images from the 2008 course can be seen here. For 2009 it is planned to run further courses and planned locations include : - London Historical Sites (based in London) - Lincolnshire Grey Seal Colonies. - Around Kent (based in Ashford or Canterbury) If there is interest it is hoped that in the medium term courses could be held in the Scottish Western Isles and Eire. The courses consist of a number of days shooting at both well known and well hidden locations. Evenings will include meals and, if wished, discussion of the days pictures and advice on photographic techniques. The course will primiarily focus on digital photography and evening talks will be available for beginners explaining the basics of photography and particular issues relating to digital photography. We also hold 'your pictures' sessions where the course attendees can talk about their work openly, and invite comments from the other members of the group. If you are interested in attending the course or would like to discuss a corporate course to suit your location then by all means get in touch. |
